I spoke to the owner of the machine, and apparently they are using reverse-osmosis filtered water in the machine which drinks it from large water cooler bottles.They want us to think that tap water is dirty and gross and unsafe, and that the only way to get pure water is to buy their product (a higher-up in a bottled water company said plain and simply that tap water is the enemy)
